March 2nd Photo

This is my oldest daughter and her first car.  She saved up diligently from her jobs and the opportunity to buy came about through a family at church.  We are so thankful for how the Lord provided.  The price of the car was the exact amount of money she had in her savings account!  We are definitely in a new season of life.

February 28th Photo

This is my 2nd oldest sitting in our sycamore tree.  This is not something she does real often but today it was for a very sad reason.  Her rabbit died very unexpectedly.  We found him just laying in his hutch.  What makes it worse is this was the 2nd rabbit she has had in less than a year and the first died also.  He had escaped the hutch and was found dead on the property.

February 27th Photo

Today's picture is my youngest daughter.  She had Daddy pull her tooth tonight, about the 6th one in 3 months.  She is the only one of my girls who is smiling and happy after a tooth comes out.  She is also the only one to have lost so many teeth so young.  The others took forever to lose teeth.

Fallen off the wagon!

February got to be a crazy month and I fell off the photo a day wagon.  I'm going to try and pick back up from here but I will include a few of the pics that I did get taken during the last month.

The end of January brought about our first speech/debate tournament of the season up in SC.  3 of my girls participated in it.  My 2nd oldest won a debate speaker award for the first time!

The week after returning we received some additions to our feathered flock.  We had ordered 15 pullets but 2 arrived dead and we lost 2 more by the end of the next day.  The other 11 are doing well.

My sweet youngest daughter is just like her older sisters with a book in her hand.  I have to say they get it honestly as I was the same way as a child.

The middle of the month we celebrated 2 15th birthdays.  I can't believe they are getting so big!!!

That same week was a wild one as I hosted 7 ladies from around the country and Canada.  I made 7 trips to the airport which is an hour away that week.  We stayed in cabins at an old Girl Scout camp near my house.  I actually stayed there a few times as a girl scout.  Problem was we had some of the coldest weather of the winter that weekend which wasn't really what the northern ladies were looking for during a visit to Florida.  It was a great weekend though!!

This is my pic from today.  It is the gift that the afore mentioned ladies sent me for hostessing.  I can't wait to use them and remember my sweet friends!!

Day 29 Photo Challenge

I have a habit of looking outside as soon as I get up in the mornings. This morning it was very foggy, which isn't unusual where we live.  This was the full moon making its way through the fog.

Day 28 Photo Challenge

My girls gave me a new jewelry holder for Christmas.  I love being able to see all my earrings at one glance and not having to dig through boxes anymore.  Being able to color coordinate is a bonus.

Day 26 Photo Challenge

Mmmm, one of the best burgers around.  Five Guys cheeseburger with grilled onions (McDonald's - this is how a grilled onion cheeseburger should look!!)

Day 25 Photo Challenge

I love to see my girls getting along together and this picture of my oldest and youngest playing a game together makes my heart sing.  I pray they continue their sweet relationship well into their adult lives!

My youngest is part of a science co-op. My role for the last few months is to teach the younger siblings. Today we learned about frogs and this is the craft we made. Very adorable!

Day 23 Photo Challenge

Tonight's dinner was thrown together soup because I wasn't feeling well this morning so I didn't get anything out of the freezer.  It actually turned out very good and was filling when eaten with a baked potato.  All I did was put some chicken broth with some canned chicken and added cut up carrots, fresh tomatoes and some half & half along with seasoning.

Day 22 Photo Challenge

I am speech coach in a local speech/debate club.  At today's meeting, the lady who was the speech coach before me came in to give some help on speeches as tournament season has begun.  It was a blessing to have her work with the students!

Day 21 Photo Challenge

This is a picture of the worst thing about a vacation - laundry!!  This is 2 days worth of dirty, smoke smelling clothes and towels.  Time to get busy!!

Day 20 Photo Challenge

We took a day trip to Dothan, AL.  Not much was there except for a REALLY great local restaurant called "The Blue Plate"  I highly recommend them if you are in the area and love Southern cooking.  Anyway, on the way back in, we stopped to take a picture of the campground sign.

Day 19 Photo Challege

This is one of my beautiful daughters.  We had taken a hike to the waterfall, well...more like a water trickle this time of year,  and were taking a break to figure out which way to go next.  What a gorgeous smile!!

Day 18 Photo Challenge

My picture of the day is of my home for the next few days.  My family is taking a camping trip with some friends.  The only sad part is my oldest won't be joining us.  Guess that is what happens once they grow up and have jobs!

Due to the trip, I might not be able to post pictures until I get back but I know I will be taking plenty!

This was a birthday present from one of my talented daughters. She painted it for me because of my love for coffee. I'm going to fill it with some coffee beans.

Day 14 Photo Challenge

Mugsy is the subject of our photo of the day today.  Mugsy is our 1 year old Australorp rooster.  He has turned into quite the handsome fellow.  I love all the colors that are in his black feathers.

Day 13 Photo Challenge

Today's picture is of our garden or at least where it will be come spring.  We plowed up the area and are now going to cover it with a tarp for a few months.  Hopefully, future pictures will show a bountiful harvest as a result of our hard work.
